This weekend, we take honor in celebrating Memorial Day. Originally called Decoration Day, after the Civil War which claimed more troops’ lives than any other conflict, this day was observed to honor those that had fallen in service. Traditionally, over this weekend, Americans spend time at cemeteries or other venues recognizing those that have died in service. Weather it’s decorating fallen soldiers’ graves, attending a special event or just stopping to observe the “Moment of silence” at 3PM on Monday, we encourage you to participate in some observance of those that gave their all. It is because of them that we can enjoy the freedoms and liberties we are blessed with in this country. Also, thank you to those families of fallen servicemen. You also shared in that ultimate price.
