- First time treatments done in combination, for more than one pest, will save money since we can treat everything at once. Additional pests done at same time are additional.
- Customers on service plans are entitled to extra service at no charge between scheduled services.
- We strongly recommend that any customer with Carpenter Ants be on a quarterly service plan until all signs of the ants are gone!
This treatment plan is ultimately successful due to the effects of the residual chemicals which remain fresh and therefore active if applied on a regular basis.
- We put emphasis on the importance of treating strategic areas in the home to control carpenter ants such as water condensation areas where ants forage to obtain water droplets to bring back to the nest.
- Examples of some of these areas are: kitchen sink closets, where pipes go through floors or walls, bathroom shower, pipe partitions, under bathtubs, toilet bowls and feed pipes. Any area where water may have formerly or recently leaked into.
- These "void areas" are treated by "strategic void injections" to render them unusable by the ants, since only 10%-15% of these ants forage outside the nest and 90% stay in the nest and work. It is clear that just spraying baseboards is not enough since it will only affect the foragers and not the greater population of ants.
- In addition, we also treat basement sills and interior and exterior perimeters. When we treat outside perimeters we use two unique materials on the underside of the clapboards and foundation. This complete treatment normally takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours but it is far more effective than simply spraying baseboards.
